CARAMEL CORN POPS

8 cup Corn Pops
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
1/2 cup brown sugar
9 tsp molasses
1 tsp vanilla extract

Prepare two cookie sheets by lining with aluminum foil.  Butter lightly or use butter flavored non-stick vegetable spray (e.g. Pam).  [Placing 2-3 feet of aluminum foil on the kitchen counter also works.]

Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and molassas in a large frying pan (12").  Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

Boil approximately 6 minutes after the mixture is boiling across the entire surface.  Continuously stir (lightly).

Remove from heat and mix in the vanilla.  Quickly mix in the corn cereal to coat the surface.  Pour out onto the prepared sheets.

Butter your fingers.  When cool enough to handle separate into balls or other shapes.
