CHOCOLATE SNOWBALLS

2 Tbs butter or margarine
2 cup sugar
2 oz unsweetened chocolate (or 1/3 cup chocolate chips)
1 cup water
2 tsp vanilla extract
6 med snowballs

Gather fresh snowballs while mom or dad prepares the sauce (frozen yogurt, ice cream, or shaved ice will also suffice).

Combine water and chocolate and heat in a medium saucepan over low heat.  Add sugar and heat until dissolved.  Bring to a boil for 3 minutes.  Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla.

Pour over fresh snowballs (about 3" balls) and serve immediately.  Makes about enough for 6 medium snowballs.

Remarks: if you'd like a thicker syrup, replace 1 cup of water with 1/2 cup water + 1/2 cup corn syrup.
