1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup corn syrup (preferably
light)
6 cup mini-marshmallows
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup M&M's, Reese's
Pieces or more chocolate chips
8 cup Golden Grahams cereal,
Cheerios or Cinnamon Toast Crunch)
1-2 tsp vanilla extract
Butter a 9" x 13" pan and place aside. Place the cereal in a very large bowl and set aside.
Combine butter, corn syrup, 5 cups of marshmallows, and the chocolate chips in a large microwave safe mixing bowl. Heat on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring each minute, until melted and smooth. Add vanilla, stir, and pour over cereal. Mix quickly until coated, then add remaining cup of marshmallows and additional 1/2 cup of M&M's (or more chips).
Pour into prepared pan, smooth using buttered fingers or back of a spoon.
Cool on counter for an hour
or refrigerate. Cut into 2" squares. Store in airtight container.
Makes 2 dozen squares.
