Theatre Props and Costumes
October 2012 - Wolves, Gargoyles and Enchanted Objects for the Northwood Jr. Players production of Beauty and The Beast. The actors gave the wolves and gargoyles unique personalities and physical qualities (scars, cuts, wonky ears).
Wolves - in progress
- Started with template Mom found online (after I had searched for hours).
- Enlarged just the head piece, cut out of fun foam, modified it, cut off the ears, formed it around styrofoam head and baseball cap and duct taped everything.
- Coated in two or three layers of rigid wrap. Some areas got reinforced with paper mache clay
- Created teeth, snarling snout and nose with mache clay, covered those in another layer of rigid wrap, so it would not pop off.
Gargoyles - In progress
Started with baseball hat and gloves. Paper mache cla and rigid wrap were the main building materials.
